Choose a cotton mesh produce bag set by the sizes you use on a typical grocery trip. The available assortments contain different combinations, so bag count alone does not tell you which set is best for your shopping.
Bag dimensions
| Size | Dimensions |
|---|---|
| Small | 8 × 10 inches |
| Medium | 10 × 12 inches |
| Large | 12 × 15 inches |
| Extra-large | 14 × 18 inches |
These are bag dimensions, not a guaranteed weight capacity. Allow room to close the bag rather than filling it to its edges.
Compare the sets
- 6 bags, small through large: 2 small, 2 medium and 2 large.
- 6 smaller bags: 3 small and 3 medium.
- 6 larger bags: 3 large and 3 extra-large.
- 8 mixed bags: 2 of each of the four sizes.
If your shopping varies widely, the eight-bag assortment covers all four sizes. If you already know that you mainly use small or large bags, choose the corresponding six-bag option.
Using the tare label
Each bag has a tare-weight label. Show the label to the checkout operator so they can use the store's procedure for excluding the bag's weight when weighing produce.
Washing and storage
The supplier specifies 100% cotton mesh, cold washing and hanging to dry. Let bags dry before storing them. Mesh is breathable and does not provide an airtight seal; choose storage conditions appropriate to each food.
